I am quite delighted with my M-P typ 240. It is a far better performing camera than the M9 was in every way measurable. It was what reinvigorated my interest in Leica equipment, convinced me to hold onto my R lenses, and helped motivate me to buy the SL.
The SL is a better camera to use with the R lenses due to its superior EVF and ergonomics that suits the R lenses much better. But, the fact that you CAN use these and other SLR lenses easily on the M typ 240 models is a major boon.
With the M-P, although I have more than these, I tend to use a 1972-vintage Summilux 35mm v2, Summarit-M 75mm f/2.4, and a recently acquired Tri-Elmar-M 16-18-21mm f/4 ASPH (the WATE). All three are superb performers on the M-P. I had the 'Lux coded by DAG so I get the benefits of Leica's lens coding corrections with all three automatically.
I often shoot with the WATE using just the standard viewfinder, estimating the FoV from experience, but sometimes fit the EVF for more accurate framing and the level.
The M/M-P typ 240 are terrific cameras. Good review...
I do miss riding my Moto Guzzis. :-\
