M adapter for Voightlander Nokton Prominet len

Cosina made a Prominent adapter that allowed them to be used on Nikon Rf's (check with Stephen on Cameraquest.com). Using this one and then a Nikon to M or LTM would allow it to be used on an M.

Tom, thanks for the suggestion. But is there a straightforward way? I'm afraid that there might be a problem with the focus seeing that I'm using 2 adapters

There was one sold by a German Ebay seller several years ago, custom made. They were not cheap. I have not seen one in a while.

I use the double-adapter approach, and Nokton to S-Mount, and S-Mount to M-Mount adapter. The back-focus on the Nokton is long, and it might be possible to remount in another focus mount such as a Summarit.

Voigtlander made an adapter for the normal lenses to be used on a Leica:

I have used the multiple adapter approach, and it worked well. My combination was a Prominent-Contax adpater, Orion brand Contax to LTM adapter, and LTM to M adapter, attached to a leica M2. Focus was fine, even close up, although I only had lens open to 2.0, not wide open

Another vote for the double/triple adapter approach, though it does require you to get good adapters throughout the "chain." I know Cosina Voigtlander made separate Prominent-to-Contax RF & a Prominent-to-Nikon RF adapters (http://www.cameraquest.com/VoigtPromAdpt.htm ) & eBay sellers like Amedeo make & sell adapters for mounting Contax RF & Nikon RF lenses on LTM or M bodies. Brian Sweeney would know whether the Prominent's "50mm" normal lens was closer to the Leica/Nikon RF or Zeiss Ikon Contax standard .

I purchased an (overpriced) Prominent-LTM adapter years ago, but never got around to testing it for precise focus, as I picked up 1 of the rare LTM Noktons shortly thereafter; it's crudely made/finished, but IIRC seemed to work fine for the smaller apertures (f/4 & smaller).
