Hello. Have both, use the all black M9 as its most handy and looks cool too. Nice mate for the M Monochrome when I carry two cameras.

M-E sits in dry box, dejected and lonely. Haven't shot it at all.

Anyone notice any differences in overall performance other than frame line lever missing on M-E?

Not many will have the three you have. There's no reason to suppose there'd be any difference. I do find my Monochrom (the original) has a quieter, smoother shutter than my M9-P. Supposedly the first three M9 form factor cameras should be the same in this regard.

I would keep the M9 and sell the M-E if its not being used.

They are the same minus the frame lever and the USB port. Oh and the body colour...

The M-E is perfect for the job why you own it....as a backup, which by definition means it will not be used until you need it.

If it were me with those two, my M9 sensor would probably go about the second week after selling the M-E. Unless you financially cannot afford to keep both, I would hold on to it.

I often use two M bodies to lessen needed lens changes, especially if the second lens is not 6 bit coded. Keeps me from having to always remember to reset it.
