What is the material of construction of the various parts of a Cosina R3M, R2M, and Ikon, back door in particular? I haven't found this directly addressed anywhere.

Top and bottom plate is metal. I have film in my body right now. Back door appears to be metal with a more rustic finish, but I could not say for sure.

The back door feels like cast magnesium to me, but I'm not sure.. it's quite rigid, and it's cast, but feels more dense than aluminum alloy.. A far cry from the bessa R flexi-back. I wish I could find a source of black r3a backs to retrofit other bessa bodies, that would be awesome, but I have never looked.

I don't know about the back, but from the brochure, the Zeiss body is die cast aluminum.
