M "Quick Load" kit on the 'bay ?

These people, "Leicaparts", periodically put this item up for sale.
Has anyone bought one of these ? This appears to be an aftermarket thing made in Germany or does it look like a genuine Leica kit ? I am looking for a solution for my M2 after being spoiled by the M6 loading. It does not appear to have the same type take up spool as the M6.

Or would I be better off taking the "spare take up spool" route and preloading a couple of rolls and keeping them wrapped in foil ?

Any suggestions, comments, etc. would be welcome....

I don't know if it is genuine or aftermarket, but I can say that my M3 is simple to load with this installed. I bought it with the quick load kit already attached, it makes loading pretty much just like that on the M6, you just have to check that the sprocket teeth are engaged with the back door open.

Hi Flamingo, this is the original adaptor kit made by Leica. I have it on my M2 and like it a lot. It really makes loading easier. And faster. It should not get a lot more expensive than this though...

It MIGHT be the genuine Leica parts or possibly an aftermarket copy. I wish they'd show the film guide from the other side. The side shown fits against the inner surface of the baseplate so I can't easily see mine to compare. The spool looks the same as my quick-load spool. I purchased my kit in the late-60's. A couple things about this auction listing strike me as odd... first they seem rather careful to say it's "for Leica", never mentioning whether it's the genuine Leica article. There is no product packaging or installation sheet or sticker (showing the film path) to put in the camera. And then there's that disclaimer that what-you-see-is-what-you-get with no returns. Sounds fishy.

This does look like the genuine Leica quick-load that I have on my M2, but I'm worried by the take-up spool, from the photos, you can't see the chrome centre piece that slides out of the spool so you can get it out of the camera. I think you should be able to see that from the angles of the shots - perhaps that's missing? Could be worth asking.

Incidentally, these go for much more than $75 in the UK - probably more than that in UK£ if bought from a dealer.
