Canada, eh.
In order to secure a couple of lenses to keep them from bumping into eachother while in a camera bag, I've glued a couple of rear lens caps back to back using epoxy. I find that this works well for me. Has anyone else tried this?

I use two of those contraptions, either one at a time or together, in my bag since I got my Ms. Keep lenses from bumping into each other, and keep the bag tightly organized - works well for me.

glue is cheaper...

Actually, ABS cement is both better and cheaper (assuming your caps are made of ABS). Unlike glue or epoxy, ABS cement welds the plastic together with solvents. It also sets up in just a few minutes and is black to match your caps. Look in the plumbing department at your local hardware store.

I bought a pack of 5 M caps from oeccamera/Ebay for c. US$13.00 shipped and slapped a couple of them together this way.

you don't have to use glue, there's an existing solution for this:

The problem from my point of view with the M solution is the open back, which means it doesn't really work as a lens cap unless both lenses are mounted. The R version has a solid back. I've glued both N-kon and Leica M caps back to back with good luck. Just use good glue!!!

I use gaffer tape instead of glue, and put two caps back-to-back on each lens in my bag (it makes changing lenses a lot faster---you're not fumbling with two rear caps). Tape instead of glue because the threads on one of the caps can become worn with use, and it's easier to replace one cap than toss out two of them.

I've done this for about 30 years with Nikon lenses but I added a pop rivet as I still don't not trust glue. I am now remembering the space tiles. I buy the nice back-to-back Leica M lens holders when I can find them. Sometimes I put a body cap on one side, then I can put a deep mount lens on it and protect the rear element.

Like you I don't trust the glue on two planar plastic surfaces so I simply drilled some holes into both caps, put some tape on the inside of the caps, and expoxied them together. Once the epoxy is hard I remove tape and the epoxy is also in the holes. Works well.

I also use the Benser/M solution, which only works for lenses where the rear elements don't stick out too far ... for example, one cann't couple two Color Skopars. But a 40 Nokton and 28 Color Skopar work well 🙂
