Yay! All fixed: the light baffle had come loose and caught the shutter curtain. Repaired with a six-month waranty and the speeds redone as well. Give me a week or so and I'll post some samples with the Canon 35/1.8.

Joe, I sent it back to the seller: he had it taken care of by a "Mr. Lee" somewhere in NJ. Mr. Lee was somewhat slowed by his celebration of Chinese New Year.

I like the job Gerry at Kindermann did on my M3, but Youxin Ye told me he'll CLA an M2/3 for US$80, so I don't think I'll be going back.

It was going to be nearly C$300 for a CLA, including rewind gear replacement. I skipped the CLA, as the times were all fine.

I got a Leica IIIc from Youxin Ye that he had worked on. Its is a great camera. I got it off E-bay, does anyone know how to get ahold of mr. Ye. I have some camera I would like to have him consider.
