M2/M3 vs MP ? Overrated ?

I have to say that i find myself agreeing with many posters here ..... and i would like to take this opportunity to thank every one that buys a new Leica thus supporting one of my favorite companys (may it live forever) .... is a MP better built than my M3, considering the price tag I sure hope so.... is there any thing about it that i need or that would make my photography "better"... No I don't think so.... I have a relationship with my M3 ... in 17 years we have seen and done many wonderful things (and who knows what strange and wonderful experiances it had before it came to my hands) It is a better camera than I will ever need, what a privilege to shoot with

Hmmm... not sure how i can add the female dimension in a male-dominated forum. All i can say is there is a strong camera caress factor and GAS for us too. Well, at least for me. ;-)

I'm in love with the MP too and i'm sure it is one of Leica's finest cameras. I'm also sure if i get one today, i can pass it on to my children (and grandchildren) one day. I started with a humble Bessa R3M (my initial foray into RF) and now with Keith's former baby M3. I know it's a long (or maybe short) slippery road down the path of Leica cameras and lens. As it is, there is a big hole in my pocket with a 50mm Summilux 1.4 asph. I need to see my therapist. ;-l
