M2or M3? opinions?
I will use Wide Angle, Summitar, and 135mm lensens. Unfortunately :), someone showed me thier M3 at a museum and now I MUST have one. Damn You!

what wide angle do you plan to use? if its a 35mm ,the M2 is made for it, but it has no frame lines for the 135mm. The M3 is "the" camera for the 50mm ,if you do not wear glasses, and has the most usable 135mm frame lines of any M Leica.

M4?

M4?

Hello:

You may want the full frame line set - a M4-2?

the m4 has framelines for 35/135, 50, and 90. all of the later models have these framelines at least.

You need an M3.

Go 28mm or wider and use an external finder. The M3 can't be beat for 50, 90 or 135mm lenses in M mount.

I missed my cue.

Get an M3. The wide-angle external finder is required for the M2 or M3. The M3 viewfinder is better for the 135mm lens. In either case, you are buying a camera made when Ike was president and the Boeing 707 was being test flown. Look over the finder very carefully, that the RF is bright and the prisms do not show separation. Figure in a CLA if one has not been performed within 10 years or so.

Of course I solved this dilemna buy buying an M3 and an M2. The M3 gets most of the use.

It's amazing how many crazy people go around showing their M3 off at museums.
