Me too. 🙂

How many backup cameras does one need?

Well, the M7 (bought new) has a wobbly top and refuses to wind on after about 10 exposures (anyone know what that could be?). It's good to know that the accuracy of CNC machined parts is so much higher than in the old days of the

M3, which I should send off for a CLA.

So I thought I'd need another M...

Wow...

I'm happy with the one. 😀

I have the Contax which is now backup to the M2. Ernemann 6x9 backup to the Zeiss Nettar. The Leica Standard has no counterpart. The Rolleicord's backup was sold to afford the Contax. The Cosina CT-1 is backup to the Zenit-E 😀 😀 and the Kodak ground camera is backup to the Cambo 4x5

So usually two cameras per 'type' for me.

Congrats on the new toy soon to arrive 😉

One by one they all fall to the fatal charm of the M2. It's a good job they only made 85 thousand or so or they could take over the world 🙂

Enjoy it, Colin. The M2 has a stripped down charm that I find irresistible. That's why I no longer have an M6.

I'm glad the price can't really rise too much. If popularity of the M2 increased I already have one, and that means other Leicas will inevitably drop into my price bracket 😀

The M2 seems to be the best value M at the moment. Mine was downright cheap! (but I'll get a CLA for it too. And maybe a black paint job. And some real camera-leather leather - maybe Verdigris kid leather, or Levant black 🙂 )
