m240 + 28mm Voigtlander Ultron 28mm 1.9

I just got my M240, and I put in my Voigtlander 1.9 28mm lens on it, and I love the output. However, not sure if i should keep the Lens Detection off, or on manual (and if so on what setting). The viewfinder does not adjust to the 28mm, and I am not sure if I need to do something to it work? Maybe I need to 6bit code the lens? (if at all possible even)

It's the adapter that handles the framelines ("adjust to the 28mm"). Sounds like your current adapter is for another focal length.

For a voigtlander that I had, I tried a bunch of combinations for manual detection. I shot a white deck fence so I could see color shift and vignetting easily. Try some 24, 28 and 35mm lens selections in the menu to see what works best. Takes some time but worth it.

No, 6-bit coding does not adjust for framelines, as it is purely mechanical; you need to have the correct bayonet mount.
The correct in-camera corrections for vignetting are obtained by the 6-bit detection. Try the Elmarit 28; it is a ggod starting point.

Get the right LTM adapter and it will see the FL and give the framelines, and you can use a sharpie and code it as 28 cron 🙂

You need a 28/90 adapter. If you want to permanently code it vs using the menu, you'll need the type of adapter without the large section cut out, i.e. just the 3 "mouse bites".

I found that the code for the v.4 28 Elmarit works the best with that lens. The 28/1.9 is a spectacular lens btw. I have the v.4 Elmarit as well and the Ultron is every bit as good from f/2.8 down. At f/2-1.9 it's lower contrast than a Summicron, but still quite good.
