Hello,
What lens profile are people using with this lens on the M240 with the latest firmware?
I have read many articles that states that both the WATE (21mm), Summicron 28mm, and 21mm f/2.8 lens profiles works good. Though, I guess one profile must be more suited for this lens than others?

I've had no problems using the 21/2.8 ASPH setting, so never bothered trying the others.

Ok, thanks. I was uncertain if I was gonna use this or the profile for the 21/1.4 Summilux since the aperture info recorded into EXIF will not go below 2.8 with the 21/2.8 profile. With the 21/1.4 profile it will go down to 1.8 however. I guess I'll just try both and see

Use the profile for the Lux - or your lowest recorded aperture will be stuck at f/2.8.

That was my intention and plan. But I can't find the 21/1.4 Lux profile in my M240 with the latest firmware. It's not in the list of profiles.

Hmm, that's weird. Even if you code the lens (with a Sharpie)? It should pick it up automatically, at least.

Yeah, I thought so to. Maybe because the 21/1.4 has never been sold uncoded, so it's only available with auto-detection? No idea!
I don't have a coding kit, and there's no grooves or anything on the lens to show where you should use marker/sharpie. So I would have to start measuring and doing trials and errors, which is just too much of a hassle.
From what I read the 21/2.8 ASPH and non-ASPH profiles over-correct things on this lens. The WATE 21mm setting is apparently the best profile - except the 21/1.4 Summilux profile.

That could be... Interesting.
Yeah, without a coding kit/template it's a bit of a guess. There are a few out there that you can download and print. What's nice about the Ultron is that there's a groove where the coding marks go - which goes a long way to extending their life (without having to reapply).
I used the 21/2.8 ASPH profile for a long time and it worked just fine. Though like I said, anything under f/2.8 wasn't recorded (estimated or not). Not the end of the world though.

There's no groove on my Ultron 21/1.8. Should there be?
