I remember being bummed out when the vulcanite of my M2 first began to chip off, but now I see it as a blessing, as the brown leather looks and feels much nicer, IMO.

Regarding the summicron, the shiny part might just be blade wear from rubbing against each other. It is not a problem. A lot of people mistakenly take it for oil, it usually isn't. If the aperture tension does not bother you too much, I wouldn't send it in for a CLA until you need to. Congrats again.
