M3 in Time

My weekly Time mag (gifted by a friend) just arrived. There's a special section of the Best Photos of The Year that opens with a picture of a black-taped M3 with what looks like a chrome 8-element Summicron. Funny that 21st century photojournalism is represented by a 50 year old camera.
