M3 magnifier: HK Supplies v. Japan Exposures

I know the features of the 1.25x HK Supplies and the 1.35x Japan Exposures viewfinder magnifiers.

Wondering if anyone has actual experience using them on an M3 with an f2 lens in the 85 to 100mm range.

Thoughts? comparisons?

I've used both HK and Leica 1.25 magnifiers on M3 and, simply put, you don't need them. Too much overhead in tunnel vision and loss of 1:1.

I find them very useful on .72 Leicas.

i use the megaperls 1.35 on the m8, but never bothered to try it on an m3 with 50 or 75mm fast lenses. the m3 works fine (for me) without magnifiers.

I used the HK magnifier 1.25 on M3 with Nikkor 85mm f2. It helped alot. I have since sold the M3 and that is the primary feature I miss, being able to really get a large window for the 90 frame with the Magnifier.
