I've come across a M3 DS that is in great shape but the rangefinder is VERY faint. I've had a tech look at it at the diagnosis was that it needs a new mirror.
Anyone know where to get one? Installation is no problem once I get my hands on the part
TIA!

You're on Candid Camera
You should try Sherry Krauter. She's a long time independent repair person that many people swear by. www.sherrykrauter.com
You could also check out the Leica Historical Society web site. They have a listing under resources for repair people- you could probably get the parts from someone listed there. www.lhsa.org
Doing it yourself- pretty brave! Good luck.

Well-known
Dan, for Leica M3 parts, try the following: Dan Goldberg, DAG Camera; Sherry Krauter, Golden Touch, b oth of which you can find on the Internet...otherwise, the LUG is another good place to check; someone might have one...regards, bob

Think Different
There's a place in England that specializes in restoring M3 viewfinders (other older Ms' too). Here's the URL:

Maybe worth a look.

I thought a M3 rangefinder didn't contain any mirrors, just prisms...
