It's a taylor hobson super comat 25mm 1.9. Pretty nice with no minimal vignette. Spin bokeh as usual.

At what point does the lens mount fail with these heavy lenses?

fraid not - it is just a nice old 55mm 1:f1.2 - I love it and will never sell it
The feel and weight of it is just fabulous
It reminds me in a strange sort of way, (don't know why?), of the in incident in Crocodile Dundee - when he threw a can of beans at the mugger - you could do that with this lens and it would be very effective, plus still be in one piece after the "strike"
- of course I would never allow it to happen

I'm surprised - the lens mount is very solid - if I use the G1 with this lens - I do (will) hold it by the lens, which feels good.
but I have a nice Nikon AI 50mm 1.8, almost a pancake size when compared with the other AI Nikon 50mm, which i will use
The G1 was only new to me yesterday - and the M4/3 to F adaptor came this morning

paragon you're a bad boy. I forgot about the 50mm 1.8E pancake until you bring it up
That lens is very cheap here in Hong Kong.

Nice stuff! Have you tried the EVF for the camera, and if so, why do you prefer the 40mm optical finder?

GF1 Angenieux f/0.95 Combo
GF1 Angenieux f/0.95 Combo
Finally gotten the time to pickup another digital camera to take this camera porn shot of my all time favorite "anywhere" combo gear. I love the results i am getting. Was actually bend on getting the EP2 but during a hands-on comparison at my local shop, the GF1 wow me over. Now, i am hoping for a new improve release of GF1's EVF.
EP2 still inch win in terms of form factor, high iso noise performance and in-body stability. However, i am please to realize that with a f/0.95 i never really need high iso or IB Stabilizer as most shots are at 100iso. Infact, i am searching for a ND8 filter now!
Hope flickr guys will enjoy my shots from this combo. (Btw, this lens stays on my GF1 99.9% of the time, leaving my 20mm f1.7 pancake under a layer of dust

eooojj, I swear I see a defect in your 0.95 lens. But I will be happy to fix it for you for free if you send it over.
