M4 or M2?

M2 and M3 always look more "classic" to me, while the outlook of the M4 suggests a sense of sureness

can one get the best bit of both by replacing the advance/ preview/ self-timer/ rewind level of the M4 with those spare parts from an M2 or M3?

that would be neat, isn't it?

You could buy an M2 and have DAG put in the M4 loading; It would become a M2-R.

Either camera will mostlikely need a CLA anyway so I'd get the M2, send it to DAG for a CLA & QL upgrade.

DAG converted my M3 to M4 QL and M6 motor drive and I use it with a Leica M motor. Well worth the $$$.
