M42 screwmount to M4/3rds question.

I got a Fotodiox M42 screw mount adapter so I could use my Takumars with my
E-P2. The Super Taks work like a charm, but the aperture tab on the Super Multi Coated & SMC Taks prevent adjusting the aperture. Do I need a different adapter or is there a trick to disabling the aperture tab???

Hey John,

I had the same experience with my Fotidiox adapter. With the SMC Takumars, the tab gets hung up on the sides of the adapter. So I have only been using the older Super Takumars, which don't have that tab. I thought about filing off a little from the inside of the adapter, but haven't done so yet.

That sounds like the remedy. My brother works in a machine shop, I'll ask him to trim a bit to make the tab move freely....
