Well, The M5 I bought about 2 months ago is back from Sherry Krauter!!!!!

I swear the viewfinder is brighter and clearer than my naked eye! And the advance (which I thought felt great) is smoooth.

It was hard sending in my new tool right off the bat, so I stalled a bit. But now I know it's ready to hit the streets and work for a good long time.

Sherry was excellent, a quick responder and communicator. Turnaround was just under 3 weeks. And now of course, rain is in the forecast for the next 10 days :mad:

good to hear you have your 'new' toy again.
don't let the rain stop you, carry a small dry washcloth in your camera bag and keep the camera as dry as you can.

did you get it recalibrated for a current battery?

Joe, let it be known your experience wasn't in vain. When I get the case I purchased for my new old body I'll run to the shoe repair shop and will ask to have the straps reinforced or worked on.

I thought you'd like to know that your suffering wasn't in vain.

Let's allow our feet only to hit the road.

Thomas, Leicas are great for indoor shots too. Go ahead and have a nice weekend inside!

i have had both of my 'nicer' wrist straps sewn closed, especially 'the offender'.
they need to be cut to open now.
and my home made ones were sewn closed in the first place.

Yes. It was one of the first thjings on the list.
