I've heard about there being differences in the electronics in M6 Classic. Would an M6 from 1988 have the new or old electronics? (Or was I mistakenly told this from someone who did not know to differentiate between M6 Classic and TLL models- of which I know there is an electronic difference, among others).

Any idea on the approximate value of one with a recent CLA, and MP finder upgrade, body in excellent condition?

A 1988 M6 would *probably* have been shipped with the original electronic circuit board. Many have been replaced by now. The way to tell is to activate the meter and see what happens when you set an exposure below the meter's range. (I think you could also just turn the meter on, assuming it's working and the batteries are good, with the lens cap on.) If the LEDs blink, it's the new style. If they do not (assuming everything else is working), it's the original style.

Value is very hard to guess at because it depends on exactly what condition the camera is in. Also, unfortunately, the seller shouldn't expect to get 100 cents of his/her dollar back on the CLA and upgrade work, and should expect a big discount if s/he can't produce receipts for the work.
