Saw some billowing smoke from the side of the road and obviously I headed towards it then away... Grabbed the E-P2 and my Leica and walked right up... I was able to get right up to action armed with a 28mm on the E-P2 and a 50mm on the M6 and an expired 2009 NYPD press pass. Just got my film back....

Quick reaction. Did you try to sell the pictures?

I submitted some digital shots to an editor I used to work with...Apparently it wasn't a big enough event.

In due time that first shot's gonna mean something to somebody and you will sell it: the firemen have their names printed on their jackets and someday one of them will be a hero, a captain, or plain simply retire.
Epic shot, congrats!

Shoot.
Beautiful photos — I especially love the 2nd one, with the great light.
What film did you use for this?

Thanks all..... I used TriX 400 (my favorite so far)... I love the M6... I regret not getting into it earlier... I would of never thought I could use a rangefinder for this type of work.. Although I haven't shot Pro PJ work in over a year. I have defaulted to motor sports and sold the 5D I used to use for personal stuff.. I keep my Leica and my E-P2 with me at all times...

An M6 wouldn't survive a real 'hot zone', would it? I mean like a war zone. Maybe the earlier Ms, but the later ones? Yesterday I manhandled an M6 in MapCamera and it seemed a bit too precious to me.

Sadly I can't say I don't have anything to compare it to. I have never touched an earlier model
