M6 Hunger Strike !!

Thanks Gene.. I have to admit.. I didn't think I was going to "like" the M3 (blasphemy.. I know)... but putting the collapsible cron on it and looking at it.. man.. it's a sweet looking camera.. now to get out there and shoot with it :D

Have you shot w/ your M2, Gene? I read you are looking for a Summicron, but you have other lenses, right?

Dave, I really feel for your state of limbo, hope it's only a post-Rita delay. Here's my situation (Gene, read no further, lest I make you feel guilty): I find what I think is a great deal on an M2 w/ a recent CLA and in "mint-" condition. I e-mail and talk to the seller, ask lots of questions, and he keeps saying, "mint-, mint-, mint-." I quickly sell my "very good user" M2 to Gene and remit payment for the new M2. So Gene's M2 arrives yesterday and he seems quite happy (Gene, I hope I'm right). My new M2 arrives yesterday, too, and guess what? It has more dings than the one I sent Gene! I thought I was such a smart guy, and now I have no M2, since I returned it this morning and asked the seller for a refund. So Dave, at least you have something to look forward to with the arrival of your M6. I'm now waiting for a refund check before I make any more smart moves.

One more thing, I sold my M2 on good faith, at exactly what I paid for it, thinking I found a good deal and would pass on my good fortune. I was right about the second part, since at least I know the M2 found a good home. I'm also pretty certain that I will be reimbursed (knock on wood), so I'll live to shop again.

OUCH !! :bang:

That is horrible. The M2 you sent me is really nice -- I'm still shooting air, just enjoying the silkiness of it. Tomorrow I load Tri-X and take it for a walk. I have a Jupiter-8 I can use, plus an excellent CV Ultron-35 (currently my fav lens).

Oh man.. that hurts..

I will wait a bit more patiently for the M6 since it was offered on Pnet by the seller before listing on Ebay.. and on Ebay the seller has 100% positives..

That plus I've got Doug's (dreilly) M3 that arrived today and I think I'm, well, in love......... ;)

Already been playing Bill :D

I've mentioned it to Frank already... I think I'm in love........hehehehe :D

No, Dave, you're not in love. You're just punch-drunk... and on your way to get drunker when that M6 lands on your doorstep. :)

What a case of Leica OD! :D

Did you organize your negatives? How about your film? Did you put it in rows according to ISO speed or according to exposure number? ;)

Ooops! I forgot you have an M3 habit to feed! Enjoy it!

Are you *sure* you just want ONE softie, Dave?

If I sell the Bessa, I'm keeping the softie that came with it :D

I may consider getting another one just to be "safe" ;)
