m6 or Minty TTL for $1200.00

I bought my M6 TTL a few years back for more than what you're being offered, so I'd say it's a good deal. Also, the battery drain issue is overhyped. I change my batteries only once a year, and never had a problem of the battery going dead on me. I chose the TTL over the classic because of the larger shutter dial, the direction the dial turned in relation to the metering arrows, and the way the meter would only show one red dot instead of one red dot and two arrows to indicate correct exposure.

" Or it could have sat unused for years and years and all the oil migrated due to its position etc"

Urban Legend.

M's can sit for many many years and still function. The oil does not migrate by some magic force.
I don't know what 'etc' means?
Speculating about the cause for a CLA is useless, the Purchaser needs to acquire some facts about the subject camera before purchasing. Without facts, the camera may not be worth anything, so saying it's a 'good deal' may or may not be true.
It's easy to spend someone Else's money.
As I Posted, purchase on condition rather than be concerned with the Model differences between an M6 or M6 TTL.-Dick

Had a TTL, and kind of disliked the higher profile, and the different speed dial (although it might be superior to the smaller classic dial). I have now an M6, and like it very much...

I also read that the M6 has a lower power consumption, which is certainly a plus...
