Hi all
The detents on the shutter speed dial on my m6 seem to be worn between 60 and 250. When set at 250, 125 or 60 it creeps toward the slower speed direction everytime you fire the shutter. The detents feel quite loose in this range also. Does anyone know if this is just an adjustment or will I need to get some parts replaced? I am thinking about trying to increase the friction of the dial as a temporary fix ( maybe a shim of some sort under it ) Is there anything to watch out for if I remove the dial? ( springs etc )
Any advice greatly appreciated.
Ben

I'm really new to the Leica system, but from my little bit of knowledge, learned here, I would contact Youxin Ye. Contact info: Youxin Ye ... wye7@yahoo.com
He is really great working the Leicas, you will get an answer pretty quick.
Hope this helps.

I suspect the problem is gummed up lube. If you are not familiar with camera repair I would send it out for a CLA. As for the shims it won't work..
