I have just bought a black chrome M6TTL with a 0.58x finder. When I received the camera, something looked slightly different from other TTLs that I had seen in the past. This one is sharper in the edges of the top plate and also in the little step below the inscriptions “LEICA M6”. It is a very subtle difference. The serial number of this camera is 2593XXX.
Could it be one of the last M6TTLs reported to have a brass top plate? Andrew Nemeth says something on his site:

I can’t tell you about the box that comes with this camera, because while I already have the camera, I will only receive the box and accompanying papers in 15 days.
Also, the letter “R” in the rewind lever is the same as on the MP, more of a square font.
I know that a brass top plate will not improve my photographic skills, but it would be nice to know that this camera is made of brass. I have a M6 classic, which I use a lot, and it is completely covered with bubbles.
Thanks in advance,
Fabio
