M6 vs M7 flash socket cover?

Hey guys,

quick question. I lost the flash cover to my M7 recently & saw that it was on back order at BH. Is there any reason why the older one wouldn't fit my camera?

give leica. NJ a call. I am sure they have plenty in stock.
Older ones are bigger (white). Newer bodies usually come with small black cover.

Thanks fbf, I wanted to get it through BH because I was ordering a bunch of film too. The generic ones I've seen listed seem to fit all, as does the one sold on popflash. So I was a little curious. Not the end of the world if I have to order it separately!
