Guys, how to use properly memory lock on M7 in auto mode? Instruction is somewhat unclear. It is said that:

1 step. To focus on object.
2 step. To focus on neutral grey area.
3 step. To press shutter release button half way and then to see the red dot in the viewfinder.
4 step. To recompose and release the shutter.

I can not see this red dot, when I press the button half way.
What am I doing wrong? Pls advise.

regards,

Have you advanced the film and cocked the shutter? The meter doesn't display till you've done so. Do you see the shutter speed indication or is that not showing as well?

Very nice portfolio on your website, by the way.

alex,
It's more of a 2/3's way deal. It takes a little getting used to since there's little depress indents at each function. For me...ae lock occurs when (if i lay my finger flat and not tip pointed towards the release) my finger lays flat on the film advance circular doodad that surrounds the shutter release button. Oh..and btw...it's a tiny little dot that's located at the upper left corner of the shutter speed on the led readout.

here's what I do:
1. point to a middle gray object and half-press the shutter (the exposure locks showing the litte dot close to the shutter speed)
2. compose the picture, focus and press the shutter.
