M8.2 Shipping with Old Charger...

With all the talk of upgrade prices going north, I decided to get the M8.2 today instead of upgrading the existing M8. I was shocked when the camera came shipped with the old charger instead of the newer one. Is this normal?

The camera's # is 355xxxx.

Yeah, I talked to the dealer later, they called the distributor and I was told that there are no stocks at all. So, I have to wait (if it comes eventually).

I'm totally perplexed of course how it can even ship with the bulky chargers in the first place. :bang:

That's bs... I would return it and buy from someone else. I believe my dealer has M8.2s in stock, if you are interested give David a call (http://www.dalephotoanddigital.com/) and he will take care of you.

Yeah, I think so too. The Leica distributor told me that once the new charger arrives, I will get one and get to keep the older one. I was told this after complaining......

That very nice deal! Actually I like old charger more, it charging more in time, but it better for battery life, and it without cord, I have two old style chargers, little bit bulky, but my 1d charger is bigger.

When I received my new M8.2 I didn't even open the box with the battery in it. I am using the spare charger I bought when purchasing the M8.

True. But there's not THAT much in it -- and I travel a lot (back from Britanny today, went to South of France/Spain last week). I'm equally happy with either.
