For those of you who might care, or want to take a look at these, I have been having an enjoyable time wiht this limited edition lens i got with my first Konica Hexar Limited rangfinder.

of course it is not as easy to nail that perfect focus at f1.2 on anythign living, but that really dose not concern my feelings towards the lens.
it just has a special feeling i like at times, and makes me work to make pictures i find rewarding.

I find it to be creamy wide open, and can get pretty sharp around f4 and above. Most peopel ask me what i think towards the Noctilux and all i can say is the Hexanon most def has a differnt signature then it's comparison.

all files processed with Lightroom
firmware 1.102
no IR/UV filter

Thanks for posting these. As a Hexanon fan, I've often wondered how good the 50mm f/1.2 would be. Looks like it's as good as the others :D With the M8, that's a beautiful setup, and I love the look of these photos.

Nice photos davichan. I should give mine a try on the M8. I have not used it with the M8 much because I don't have a 62mm IR filter and I don't like to shoot in color without the filters...the colors just look wrong to me. That said, the 50/1.2 is a great lens. Better to my eyes than the Noctilux for most purposes but not as "cutting edge" as the Summilux ASPH. I think it most closely resembles the 50mm summilux pre-asph in the way it draws an image. It's really well put together and pleasant to use too...much more compact and ligher than the noctilux. All in all it is a great lens.

Really nice eye for a shot -- very well done. I'd love to come across this lens (with the limited edition body) but I'm not hanging by my thumbs!

i am happy to hear that there are some Konica lovers on the site...
it is good to see some other glass get used on M8...
thanks for the comments.

davichan: Amazing images. You've quite an eye.

Of course, when (not if, mind you) prices for "Millenium Edition" Hexar kits, with their 50mm f/1.2 M-Hex's, go through the roof (as if they aren't pricey already!), we'll have you to blame. ;)

hahahahah Barrett,

thank you for the nice words.....
yes, it is good to put out some excitment about non-leica lenes..
hopefully it will keep them in the right direction, and mak ethem realize they are no longer the only game in serious rangfinder users mind.

with all the CV stuff really looking good and (cheaply) making their way into the hands of many new and old rangfinder users. it is a good time to see such a push for digital x glass vs. digital x megapixels, in my opinion.

things are looking to get intresting..
now if we oculd only get Canon involved in the %12 market....
yeah right~

Creamy is the right word. I adore the one with the woman and the 10 dollar note (and not just for her legs). Rock on... Might have to get me one of these hexanon thingies, though I suspect my R-D1 isn't quite up to the speed.

Hello anybody, my name is Enrico and I'm new to the forum.
I will get my Konica Hexanon Limited 50 in a couple of days...
Can't wait to try it on my M8.
Will post some picture as soon as i have some worth it
