Hi!
I'm already posted this question in a:dance: german forum.
Hope my english is enough.
Attached there are 2 shot with a M8 taken with ISO 1250 (the first one and a cutout) and the second one with ISO 2500.
There is one stripe in each image, exactly on the same position. This lett me think that this is not the banding problem because bandig dependent on hight-light light sources.
I was using a Summicron 35mm. The M8 is one from the second edition, so the banding problem should be fixed.
Who can interpret these stripes?
Thanx
Mario

It might be a sensor fault or a SD card error. It is certainly not M8-specific. I would try another SD card and if the problem persists mail these to Leica Solms and ask for their advice.

Update after some testing!
The stripes are only visible between ISO 360 to 2500 but only when using exposure time under 1/45. It doesn't matter whitch SD-card i'm using.
Guess I'm going to contact my dealer!

I have had exactly the same problem
I have had exactly the same problem
What was the Leica fix for this problem? I recently encountered it at 640 ISO and 1/20" shutter speed. I am having problems duplicating this on another, slower SD card.

Looks like a dead pixel row. The fix is a sensor replacement.

Well-known
i have the same problem. but it doesn't happen all the time, and when it does happen, its iso1250 and 2500 and underexposed. it only happens about 5% of my shots to i just live with it.
