Hi all,
Here is a problem observed with my Classic M8 after upgrading to 2.002:
I took a series of photographs with the camera in DNG and DNG + Jpeg Fine and DNG + Jpeg Basic.
When I use the Camera as the Card reader (M8 connected directly to the PC via the furnished cable), only TIFF pictures are transfered.
When I use the Card through a card reader, everything OK: I get DNG Files and Jpeg Files on the PC.
Pictures taken in single Jpeg are transfered ok with both set ups (directly read from M8 or using a separate card reader).
I use Windows XP.
I have reported the problem to my dealer today (M8 still under warranty) and I wanted to know if you had experienced the same thing.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Joan,
What software are you using? My files are downloaded as tif files and then converted to DNG using Adobe Bridge. I think that's always been the case (I only use RAW/DNG). From memory, too, the software that came with the camera (Capture 1(?)) only worked with a card reader. I don't think it's a problem with the camera or the upgrades.

I'd be interested in seeing a response to this too. In my pre-2.002 software I saw two TIFF files with the identical names and file extension being transferred when the camera was tethered. The second file had a (2) added to its name but both files were identical when opened in Capture One.
Thx

It is a Windows Problem. Your camera is ok. Use a card Reader with windows.
