m8 firmware update....when?

Well, I took the bull by the horns and mailed Stefan Daniel about the M8 firmware update.

Stephen - I don't think that new menu layout in M9 is a major reason for its popularity I think it has something to do with full frame sensor

I don't think that firmware update on M8/M8.2 will hurt sales of M9

Besides didn't Leica said something about "updating future features" on M8 when it came out. Something along the lines of you are buying into a system, blah blah blah

I think that was smoke being blown around by Leica's former CEO. Things like sensor upgrades and such talked about in press releases....all lies.

Somebody on LUF got this email from Leica:

"Attn.:
Shutter fault in C-Mode" this is a bug inside the firmware and should be gone with the next firmware update.
New firmware is being tested now and as soon as we have the ok, it will be available for download on our homepage."
