M8 firmware version

For those of you who are lucky enough to already have an M8 in hand, what firmware version does it have?

Thanks,

Stan

I used a demo M8 on Thursday. The firmware was 1.07.
The auto white balance was still poor showing a tendency towards the warm side. I was able to shoot with good white balance by adjusting the color temperature manually. Not a good solution.

By talking about the M8, what happens when a non Lieca M bajonet lens is put on the M8, something like a Voigtlander Ultra Wide Heliar 12 mm F5.6 or a CZ Biogon? Dous the software compensates for the light loss in the corners, or what so ever?

Wait a second, you mean Leica shipped them with 1.06 but there's already a 1.07? Is there a place the rest of you can download the newer version? What are the changes they made?

I have no idea how the 1.07 differs from 1.06. I merely used the demo camera with that firmware version. The camera was part of a Leica demo. Not a camera that was for sale. Hopefully, Leica will make firmware updates available like other manufacturers.

BTW the auto white balance was still off. Much too yellow. It also had a lot of trouble with incandescent and mixed fluorescent lighting. It was too dark to shoot outdoors so I have no idea about the AWB in daylight. I had to manually adjust the color temperature to get the right color balance.

I tried my 12mm Heliar on my M8 and saw less vignetting than I see when I use the lens on the R-D1. Note that I only looked at the image on the LCD - I haven't played around too much with the M8 photos on the 'puter.
