M8- Gettin' a Grip on it

I know it's not available in silver. But, is there any chance to buy the simplest model in plain black? I mean without the logo and the framelines numbers.

I don't want to offend anybody, but what's the point of the framelines pairs indicator? And the logo? Why ruin aestetically an useful and simple accessory?

Apologize for my english.

I'll join in the love fest here. I love my Thumbs Up. I'm shocked Leica hasn't developed their own, you know, slightly different and a whole lot pricier.

Thank you for the kind remark Dogberry. The Thumbs Up project has been a pleasure and I am fortunate to offer my own design contribution to the fine work from Solms.

My apologies as I have posted on another thread on this forum……..I think somewhere in this lengthy thread, someone asked if the Thumbs Up would fit the older Leica II or III, I recently acquired a III late last year and immediately thought about fitting a Thumbs Up onto it. I chose the CSEP-2 model, which is designed for the Leica X1 digital model. It comes in a black or silver finish. My camera has nickel plate finish so while on my way back from a trip to Vancouver as I was winding my way through the mountains along Highway 3 in southern British Columbia, I though what about one of these TU's in nickel plate finish ? upon receiving my TU from ( who has enthusiastically supported my project ) , I stripped off the black paint and sent it off to Specialty Plating in North Vancouver, they were able to nickel plate the TU for me with no problem at all, they did a very nice job. When I have showed this camera to various people with the nickel plated TU, most think that the TU was an original part of the camera, which is nice since the camera was manufactured in 1936. Below is what it looks like on my Leica III
