Lightmediation is now showing a full-res video of the M8 being handled. It's just as shown in the photos -- but in Jorge's photos, on the back bottom right, there's something that looks like a button, next to the selection wheel. That's actually shown in the video as a red LED. It's blinking in the video, which I suspect means that there is no memory card loaded. So that clears up that function. At this point, I think we've learned all we can from photos, now we need some M8 photos and some specs.
