Dropped my M8 at the weekend. Made me feel quite sick!
First few pictures i took looked "Infrared".
Took the battery out & then it seemed OK.
Apart from the fuzzy shutter speed LED`s & the miss aligned
Rangefinder that is.
Off to Peru for a month on Friday. So had a chat with Miss Leica in Mayfair.
The result of which was a trip to afore mentioned store in Mayfair.
Where she gave me an M9 to take to Peru, while Uncle Leica in Germany looks at my camera. No charge!
I am hoping it turns into an ME while it is away.
But i am not holding my breath.
Thankyou Leica

Got the quote back. £922.00 for all works.
£560.00 for essential works.
Did not get on with the M9.
Think there was something wrong it.
Exposure terrible, kept locking up, Did not like my Batteries etc.
Glad to trake it back.
Maybe it was the Altitude! been over 3500m for last 3 weeks.
Anyone else had problems at Altitude with M9?

No. Worked fine at 3800 meters. I did not...
How old were your batteries - old M8 batteries may be not acceptable to the latest firmware, which has tighter power management.
