Seriously, I am about to venture into tropical climes soon, anybody had any problems with damp humid conditions using an M8? :p thanks.

I've now used my M8 in Cambodia, Viet Nam, and Galapagos Islands (Ecuador), all three very hot and humid. The M8 acted like it didn't know it was humid. But I did. I worried a lot about the humidiity damaging the camera, so I sealed my M8 and lenses in zip lock bags whenever I went in and out of airconditioned hotels and cars. My glasses would fog up once in a while getting out of an airconditioned car, but the camera equipment was always inside the camera bag and ziplocks. As far as I know, they never had any condensation. Using them "outside" in the humidity was never a problem. The M8 just keeps on going, keeps on focusing correctly, etc., in spite of everything I've read about it on the Lecia forums. Don't worry about it.

I'm using the M8 now in Vietnam and has used for nearly one year, it's insanely hot and humid, but I havent seen any problem with it.
