Hello.
I am about to pull the trigger on an M8, 30 day return, 90 day warranty.
My use for this will be monochrome files to make digital negatives for 8x10 PT/PD prints. I own CV 35/2.5, CV 15/4.5, CV Heliar 50/2, and J8. My confusion is framelines. I just need guidelines, not absolutes.

There are framelines for 35 and 50mm lenses. And the framelines are calculated for the crop sensor if that is your question.
