M8 / Metz 54 MZ-4i / M-HSS ???

maybe this has been addressed allready, please direct me if so...
I ust got Metz 54 MZ-4i with the SCA3502 M4 on my M8.

I want to know if it is possible to perform HSS linear flash mode (high speed synch) in any way???
i have gone throught all the manuals, and followed all the right steps, I belive the M7 in manual flash mode can perfome this.

i am crazy to belive this rangfinder is possible of performing this great task....
ahhhhhhh, my canon 5D rentals have spoiled me into this daytime fill flash method.

someone please help to clue me in....?

I don't think the M8 will do HSS. The M8 will sync up to 1/250th and I think that is all it will do. I use a Metz 40MZ-3i myself.😀

Try to pick up the last two issues of LFI. The first issues talks in detail about the flash capabilities of the M8 and the SF24 (they mention the Metz 54 as well), and the second issue talks about the the Metz 54 and the M8. I only got the first issue so far, but I am waiting to get the current issue because I also have the metz 54.
