Metz 54 Flash / Nikon SCA300 module that gives analog ready signal?

This is a project to use a Metz 45CL-3 with:

- a Hexar RF (ready light, Nikon position)
- Kodak 14n (D-TTL)
- Nikon D700 (i-TTL)
- Leica M8

With an analog-capable flash (an SB-800 or basically any Nikon film TTL flash or the Hexar flash), the same unit will properly trigger and show the ready light across all cameras.

But in the Metz SCA system (SCA 3000 for Nikon), the 14n, the D700 and the M8 show ready in the viewfinder erratically and sometimes don't fire. I tried the same thing with the SCA 3000 for Leica M8, and all cameras work (no TTL, obviously).

But what I am trying to do now is find an SCA300 module that will work. The Leica SCA 351 (originally for Leica R4s) has a Nikon pinout, but its TTL contacts confuse the Nikon, Kodak, and M8. If I disable the confidence (frontmost) and quench contacts (rearmost, right behind that), I can get the cameras to fire. But the ready lights blink in the viewfinder (and sometimes on the 14n the flash won't fire).

So... does anyone have any idea of a Metz SCA 300 module that just has a ready pin in the Nikon position and transmits a steady ready signal? I don't need TTL. I just need a ready signal that won't freak out the camera - so that the camera will auto-set to synch speed and not go crazy and overexpose in auto ISO mode.

Thanks
Dante
