Jorge,
My M8 should be here on Thrursday; I should be ready to post some shots by the weekend BUT I DON'T KNOW HOW on this site.
Care to post a short tutorial on how to post pictures here?
Thanks!

Not quite sure. Looks like Jorge used a wide aperture and the kerb is out of focus.IGMeanwell said:..the second shot has a little camera shake evident?..

Now those are real test shots! And very nice images too! The dynamic range seems nice and colors are subtle, I like the modeling of that impressive camera+lens combo. Thanks for this website!

Now where is your banding and magenta cast, Jorge? I don't believe they were taken with a m8
Very nice, actually....

The leaves shot is the first one that actually looks film like. Nice!

The second shot really starts to show the camera's potential (at last!)

Trius: I've been entirely reasonable the whole way thru. I'll slam things that I see fit and give credit where credit is due. I'm not going to give the M8 a *handicap* or *benefit of doubt* simply because it's a Leica. My response here should be of no surprise.

It does doesn't it. Good light, proper exposure and contrast setting can show the tonal qualities possible. This was the sort of situation that drove me into and kept me in the darkroom. I knew the image was there, but labs couldn't find it:bang:ywenz said:The leaves shot is the first one that actually looks film like. Nice!

I have heard that Nachkebia suffered some kind of blackout after this post.
But fair is fair, I wanted to make that comment as well, but I did not have your courage

Looks like E100VS! My favorite E-6. Got really close to those leaves Jorge. What a lens and camera! I'm #2, and waiting, on Tony's list. Got my SD cards and ready. I on't like the talk re banding and magenta tho.
