When I look through the viewfinder and try to align the patch, nothing moves. I dismounted the lens and noticed the cam sticks when I push it in. I'm afraid to ask:
Can Leica NJ fix this or am I now looking at a door stop. I love this camera and would hope it can still be repaired.
Any help is appreciated.

This can easily be fixed by any competent camera repair shop that handles Leica, and of course by Leica themselves. I would be surprised to find that this is an overly expensive repair.

Sounds like the return spring is disengaged or broken. Some independent repair shop might fix it singly. Leica USA and some independents used to have a policy of not doing partial repairs, insisting on a prix-fixe CLA costing several hundred dollars. Not sure if that is still the case or not. But it's definitely not a paperweight.

It needs the sensor re-mapped for red line issue as well and I was also considering rangefinder adjust and CLA.
Sent today to Jersey. Will be curious to hear the estimate. I may have to back off of some of the items if it becomes prohibitive.
Thanks All
