Hello: Tri-Elmars are suddenly available on *Bay and other vendors like Tarmarin. How viable is the M8/Tri Elmar combination for routine use? IF any one has experience on this, please relate pro/con in practice.*

It would seem to be a no brainer combo. The TE now becomes 35-47-67. I'm ready with mine - plus a couple extra lenses as well!

I use a TE with my RD-1 (42, 53, 75). The F4 max aperture is no problem as I can push ISO to 1600 for low light, but not VERY low light. The M8 gives you a stop more (ISO 2500 rated as 3200) than the RD-1, so lower light. Its not too big, smaller than my 90 2.8 elmarit (current), and quality is fine. Images 4 to 11 on the first page of my gallery are shot with the TE at various focal lengths.
