It makes a vast difference. The separation between composing and focussing makes for a different style of photography, the fact that you can see outside the frame helps with action photography, as you can see it coming and the lack of blurred background, combined with separate manual focussing makes choosing your plane of focus an essential part of creating your image.

Jaap, I've shot M6 for 6 years, I'm quite familiar with RF focussing, I think we are talking about 2 different things. And i agree with your statement above.

Missed the M6 link - I thought you were comparing to an SLR🙁 yes- there is not much difference to an M6. In fact, go to manual and you ARE shooting an M6 from the way it feels (except for the 2 mm extra thickness).

I would add to this that if one has astigmatism, then the best course of action is to wear glasses that correct for this, and neither use diopter nor magnifier (unless this is corrected).
