Is the adaptation permanent?
I have a Super Tak 50/1.4 that I can only use on my Olympus EP-2 (m4/3). On that camera, I don't like results in color (hard for me to articulate why). Images converted to B+W can look very nice indeed, but...
...But, a 50/1.4 on m4/3 doesn't excite me with doubled focal length and impact on DOF. So.....if it were possible to use the lens on my Leica M bodies....Hmmmm.

I read the above to mean the DOF changes depending which camera the lens is mounted on. Surely this cannot be so. A (full frame) Takumar 50mm f1.4 is still the same full frame Takumar 50mm f1.4, whether it is mounted on a full frame body or mounted, using an adapter, on a body with a cropped frame sensor. Nothing has changed with respect to the lens.
The lens still throws the same size image circle (although less of it is captured by the smaller sensor - giving the resulting image the appearance of it being the same as a 100mm lens on a Full Frame camera). Also the aperture size (at any given aperture) is still the same as before and the lens elements are all the same too of course since mounting the lens on a different body does not change any of these things. As the DOF is a product entirely of the optical characteristics of the lens not the camera, then there should be no impact to speak of on DOF.
What is true is that a 50mm on an M4/3 camera will capture an image with the same angle of view as a 100mm lens on an FF camera but with greater DOF than the latter (The DOF is not because it is mounted on a M4/3 camera but simply because its a 50mm lens not a 100mm lens).
On the other hand, a scaled down 50mm f1.4 (designed as a native m4/3 lens and therefore designed to throw a smaller image circle) is a different matter though as the physical parameters of the lens are different from the get go from those of its full frame cousin. This native m4/3 lens will have more DOF than the full frame version given this.

just a small nitpick, Raid: this lens isn't a Takumar but a Pentax M f1.4/50mm, right?
they have the same optical formula alright but different bodies. Takumars come in M42 while Pentax M lenses in Pentax K Bajonett and the M f1.4/50mm is more light and more compact than the earlier Takumars.
( for the sake of correctedness, there are a few Pentax lenses that come in Pentax K bajonett and still, or rather again, had been called Takumars. These are budget lenses without multi coating, mostly zooms and a f2.8/28mm and f2.5+f2.8/135mm primes, no f1.4/50mm )

Exactly. We get a 100mm view that is a 50% crop of the 50mm view, with the DOF of the 50mm lens.

It is a 50mm 1.4 SMC Pentax M, as Kuuan has said. I guess, I think of it as a modern Super Muliticoated Takumar!

The discussion on the Olympus mount and DoF Reminds me that somewhere, lurking inside, is a HUGE article to dispel all the misconceptions and urban legends surrounding focal length and image format.
