Spoke to Eric today. He expects 37 M8's friday. I will get one of these even though I was somewhat late in putting my name on the list, because I elected to go with chrome. I have no idea what number I was, but he did say he cannot fill all the black orders he has from the first batch.
So, I should have my M8 early to mid next week. Not as soon as Jooorgggee, but soon

According to the number I have been given from Craig at Tamarkin (#3), I should have one of those kits! Please don't let me down Craig, I want the camera to shoot the marathon this weekend!!!

I have a black one on order with a 28/28 Asph., so maybe I'll be asked if a silver one would do Bob

I just spoke to the Australian importer for Leica and was told that each 'A' grade dealer will get 1 M8 about mid November. The second round of deliveries is expected before Xmas (2nd wk), Customs & dock workers/Officials permitting.
Aparently we are still the 'Counrty Cousin' when it comes to supply and service wrt the world.
P.S. he said a total of 14 units for Australia in the first round.

No, I called Eric, after seeing the news on here about Tony shipping. He said they expect them in the shop on Friday but don't know how many they will get out the door that day.
