I was given a "shelf queen" Contax II which Oleg at OKVintageCamera made whole again and bought a 1937 CZJ 1.5 which had Contax III attached. The '36 is uncoated, the "37 is coated. I have wanted to see how they both work on digital and have been loaned an Amedeo adapter for Contax > M body. I took it out for just some quick shots to see how the '36 2.0 works. The last is in the fish and chips joint The Ship Out. It is bizarre, maybe surreal but the fish and chips is spot on and today is Good Friday. All shot at f/8.0 to beat Sonnar focus shift and get some depth of field. OK, I'll do some wide-open later.

The old spa that I shoot a lot as a test image and some others so you can see how it does render color with its uncoated glory.

These next three are of a fellow in a local coffee shop, the Bistro. I find the Leica AWB a bit cool so I was trying to dial in a warmer feel. I think he was vain enough to be pleased at first but by the third shot the charm had worn off. But I think I got the Kelvin to where I like it. His loss, my gain.

N. B., The lens is indicated wrong as I had not corrected the camera to a 50.

I like Sonnars. This is a nice one. 1936, think about it. The Skyllaneys are from a '34 Bertele Sonnar and also sweet. The Skyllaneys are crisper due to state of the art coatings.
