Thanks again for nudging me to give this lens another shot. After setting it as 28 f2.8 11809, metering is just fine. My dog pictured here, sat where he was comfortable while also dictating where I needed to be. At the same time, creating a metering challenge for me. I wasn't about to crop the rug in the foreground because I wanted to see how the lens would handle the entire frame. Not to mention keeping his paw intact!

This 28mm is really a great little lens. No appreciable vignetting wide-open; sharp corner to corner.

Looks pretty great to me, DWF!! Glad I was of help. It really is a great little lens, nearly an Elmarit.

I've been having fun with other cameras for a while, so I'm happy to finally got out and did some shooting with the M9 again ... This is not a coordinated set of any kind, just a little celebration of getting some chops back into using this camera.

All but one were made with the M-Rokkor 90mm f/4 lens. Looking at this little smattering of snaps and seeing the quality this camera produces, perhaps I should just sell everything else... Naaaaaa. Never happen. ;-)

I think I'll re-fit the Nokton 50/1.5 ASPH (LTM) now for a bit.

At least I remember why I wanted one of these.... 🙂

I went out for a short walk the other night with the CV 28 f3.5 on the camera. Does anyone else get a red bleed in the left of the frame sometimes with this lens on the M9? I don't see it in any of Maggie's pictures. I reduced it by taking out the red channel saturation in Lightroom.

They're all processed in Lightroom 4.2 using a miscellaneous bunch of presets I created for myself over the past few years, and individual tweaking from there.

First I was thinking about opening up a genreal new thread "M9 at the Mall" but I'll just post these in here.

I was walking around inside a mall yesterday happily snapping away pics all over the place. Manual white balancing with the expodisc.

No one, no a single shopper was bothered or did any security guy ask any questions. So much about the often cited "issues" shooting in public...

Klaus,

This raises an interesting point for me. The "mall" really is the current street especially here is the states, and I am guilty of thumbing my nose at the idea that the light or subject matter there provides a worthy visual environment. Of course it does. I like #s 1 and 3 here 🙂
