M9 Alive and ....well- Post Your Pics Here!

Hi - I had to check the exif myself! From memory I had the lens stopped down at least one stop. The exif says f/5.7 (the M9 doesn't have a direct reading from the lens setting, and estimates the aperture from the light reading). I think 5.6 is probably right.

The M9 can be way off in its estimation of aperture, both ways depending on the lens. I find it consistently increases the f stop number with my 50 Elmar M - underestimates the aperture, the amount of light let in. I haven't looked at this systematically with other lenses.

My experience as well- that M9 gets aperture wrong in exif. I think with my 28 'cron, which is currently my only coded lens, and dialed in may be accurate. Next time I use that one, I will pay attention.

Thanks Helen. The full size image is very very sharp. Jerry can hold 1/90s very steady. You can read the lens details....
